Everyone has a disparaging lawyer joke to tell, but in reality, these legal eagles are an indispensable part of a modern community, no matter how much we hate to admit it.

Even with our well established legal aid services, many who seek justice have to fight just to see a lawyer. But legal fees can be exorbitant. The retiring Chief Justice Andrew Li would like to see the probono ethic strengthened, that is more lawyers working for free for those who can't pay. Would more free legal clinics provide the answer to Hong Kong's legal services gap? If so who would pay?
