The comedy-drama Monk has returns for its eighth and final season. The defective detective Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) will soon solve his last case. Starring Tony Shalhoub as a private detective who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, "Monk" has won numerous awards, including an Emmy and Golden Globe for the lead star's performance.

All the main characters returned for the final season. Tony Shalhoub returned as former homicide detective Adrian Monk, with Traylor Howard returning as Monk's faithful assistant, Natalie Teeger. In this season, Monk gets the chance to serve as a bodyguard of his favourite actress, solve a case related to UFO sighting and get involved in the case of a serial killer. The series finale made record-high ratings in the U.S. when Monk pursues the killer of his wife.
